Sherri dedicated her professional life to shaping the future of healthcare as the Nursing Division Chair at Lamar State College-Orange Nursing Program. She took immense pride in her work, passionately sculpting the nurses of today with unwavering commitment. Her devotion extended deeply to her Catholic faith, which guided her through life.

She loved music of all kinds - she knew every word, to every song, from every decade. She adored spending time with her children and grandchild, and her beloved dog, Josi, held a special place in her heart.

Sherri is survived by her devoted husband of nearly 33 years, Jimmie Foreman; her loving daughters, Hannah Champagne and husband, Evan, and Harli Foreman and significant other, Jack; and her adored grandchildren, Jaxson Carline and Della Champagne. Messages of Love

From family and friends

Shaylyn Hubert August 5, 2026
To the family and loved ones of Sherri Foreman, I just want to say how so very sorry that I am for your loss, and how much Sherri will be missed by so many! Mrs. Foreman was one of my nursing instructors, and we had a very special bond that I will always treasure. Not only did she help me academically as I pursued one of the hardest milestones of my life, but she also was there for me emotionally and mentally as she encouraged me along my journey. She was a special lady, and I will always remember our times together with fondness. One memory outside of nursing that I will always hold is how much we both loved Top Gun Maverick when it came out! Once again, I am so very sorry for your loss and y’all are in my thoughts and prayers. Shaylyn Hubert

Sherri was very sweet. I really enjoyed study groups we were in together. She also taught my daughter Bree Armentrout-Bishop, when she went to college at Lamar University in Orange; before she transferred over to Lamar University in Beaumont. She was a dear friend & unfortunately I haven't seen her in several years; but am immensely sorry for this devastating loss !...

I had an internship at the Stark Nursing Building. I never had the chance to work alongside her. However, the times whenever me and her spoke. She was always so kind and sweet. She loved every single one of her students and coworkers. She loved her job because she inspired her students each and every day. Family, friends, students and coworkers, you all have my condolences. Mrs. Foreman will be missed dearly.
