Mom was a homemaker, she loved helping people and was generous to many. She was affectionately known as Momma Rose, Granny, Mawmaw, Nanny and Gigi. She enjoyed travelling across the country with Phil, both on land and sea. Above all, she was a loving supportive mother to her 5 children, and had a unique bond with each of them. Her memory will be cherished and she will be missed by many.

Rose is survived by her children, Gordon Placette, Jr. of Austin; Denise Perron and husband Doc of Groves; Daniel Placette and wife Laurel of Bridge City; Stephen Placette of Little Cypress; and Tammy Lumpkin and husband John of Bridge City. She is also survived by Grandchildren Lorin Chamberlain, Jason Placette, Amber Haymon, Allison May, Mark Placette, Samuel Placette, Luke Placette, Joel Placette, Claire Placette, and Daniel Anthony Placette and August Coultas. Great grandchildren, Emily Rose Baker, Nolan Chamberlain, Mariette Barner, Bryce May, Emerson May, Radley May, Elora Placette, Asher Placette, Ethan Placette, Ivy Placette, Micah Placette and Rowan Placette.

We would like to thank caregivers, Lisa Thomas, Lauren Melancon, Passion Jackson and Yuneisy Alfonso for their love and compassion for our mom over the last 9 years; and to Gentiva Hospice for their guidance and care.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, October 17th at 11:00 am, Pathway Church in Mid-County, 2326 Nederland Ave., Port Neches, Texas. A private burial will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Port Arthur, by her children at a different time.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made in her memory, to Pathway Church, or to the Museum of the Gulf Coast Port Arthur.
