A Life Remembered

Obituary

Mildred Aline Chandler, 89, of Beaumont, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2026. She was born September 17, 1936, in High Island, Texas.

Mildred was a devoted wife, wonderful mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She took great pride in caring for her family and making a warm and welcoming home. She truly enjoyed being a mother and loved spending time with her children and family. She was an excellent cook and especially enjoyed spending time in her kitchen and watching cooking shows. Her roast was a family favorite and is a meal that will always be remembered by those who enjoyed it.

Mildred had a wonderful sense of humor and a quick wit. Even in her final days, she continued to make those around her smile and laugh. She enjoyed crocheting and quilting.

She also enjoyed spending time with her husband, Arvel, including working together on their rent houses, as well as traveling and taking vacations. Above all, Mildred loved her family and treasured the time they spent together.

Mildred is survived by her loving husband, Arvel Chandler; her children, Donna Brady; Debbie Hinklin and husband, Don; Kelly Coffey and husband, Tom; and Doug Moore and wife, Debra. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Mary, James, Rachel, Natalie, Todd, Megan, Laura, Daniel, Patrick, Timothy, and Claire, and a host of great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, J.C. and Eula Oglesbee; her brothers, George Oglesbee and Elton Oglesbee; and her sister, Thelma Shear.

Mildred will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Her love, laughter, and the many memories she made with those she loved will remain with them always.
