A Life Remembered

Obituary

Mae Hagler, affectionately known to her family, friends and neighborhood as Mae Mae, peacefully passed away on September 9, 2026, in Nederland, Texas, at the age of 90. Born on October 28, 1935, in Port Arthur, Texas, Mae lived a life rich in faith, family, and boundless love, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her. She was cherished as the best mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, roles she embraced with unwavering devotion.

Mae's was a member of Southside Baptist Church and enjoyed her Prayer and Squares group with her Sunday School Class. They enjoyed fellowship and laughter while making Prayer Blankets.

Mae's greatest joys were found in time spent with family and friends. Her happiest moments were spent alongside her husband and her children. Many memories were made at their lake house on Sam Rayburn, where laughter, great food, and fun times were had by all. She loved keeping and spoiling her grandchildren, loved holidays with them and was an avid PNG graduate and fan.

Mae was reunited in heaven with her husband of 49 years, Reggie DeWayne Hagler, and her parents, Kenneth and Ruby Williams.

Mae's loving legacy lives on through her children, Ricky Hagler and his wife, Cindy, and Terry Ross and her husband, Terrell. She is also survived by her adoring grandchildren, Natalie Hagler, Jon Hagler, Clint Hagler and his wife, Alexis, Tessa Hagler and her fiancé, Dylan Peterson, Corbett Ross and his wife Samantha, and Cody Ross and his wife, Sabrina. Her memory will be cherished by her great-grandchildren, Ellie Presley, Ashlyn Presley, Beatrix Hagler, Matilda Hagler, Haylie Ross, Drake Ross, Chance Ross, and Brightyn Ross along with many other bonus grandchildren. Mae was also preceded in death by her siblings, Ted Williams and Jada Gentile.
