Lennard John Duhon, 57, of Orange Texas, moved to Heaven on August 5, 2026, with his loving family and friends by his side.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, September 5, 2026, at VFW 2775 on N. Highway 87 in Orange, Texas. Visitation will be prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Born in Port Arthur, Texas, on April 12, 1969, he was the son of Wilbert Duhon and Gail Duhon. A proud graduate of Orangefield High School with the class of 1988, Lennard showed early on a zest for life and dedication to the communities he served. As a child, he played little league ball, was a cub scout, and a 4H member, setting the roots for a life marked by camaraderie, discipline, and service.

After graduation, Lennard pursued a career driving an 18-wheeler, hauling loads throughout the United States and Canada. He found joy in his travels, marveling at the beauty of God's creation across the diverse landscapes he encountered. Later on, Lennard became self-employed as a handyman and carpenter, applying his resourcefulness and skillful hands to help others, further defining his reputation as a steadfast and dependable presence in the lives of those around him.

Lennard was a lifetime member of VFW Post 2775 Auxiliary and was often found volunteering at VFW events. His commitment to service, fellowship, and community enriched every gathering. Fishing was a lifelong passion, lovingly passed on from his father; together they spent many happy days on the water, always happy to share their catch with friends and family.

An enthusiast of motorsports, Lennard enjoyed Nascar, drag racing, and dirt track racing, delights that complemented his adventurous outlook on life. Yet, above everything, Lennard most cherished time spent with family at gatherings filled with laughter, good food, and enduring bonds created memories that will be treasured forever. His beloved Rambo, his super sized fur baby, held a special place in his heart and brought him great joy.

Lennard achieved a momentous personal victory, recently celebrating 20 years of sobriety. His strength and perseverance in reaching this milestone remain a source of inspiration to those who knew and loved him.

He will be remembered dearly and deeply missed by his friends and family. Lennard’s journey on this earth was full and rich, marked by kindness, hard work, and an infectious passion for life. As Jesus went out to find his sheep and now holds Lennard close in his arms, his loved ones take comfort in knowing that he will be worshipping his Lord and Savior for eternity.

May his memory continue to inspire and uplift all those who had the privilege to know him.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Curtis Duhon, Neva Dormand and husband J.B. Dorman, and Sid and Beatrice Poole; his stepbrother, Steven Stafford; uncle, Lennard Poole; aunts, Dorsie Savoie, Earline Blanchette, and Katy LaBry; and cousins, Chuck Atkins, Keith Atkins, and Curtis LaBry.

Those left to cherish his memory include his father, Wilbert Duhon and wife Cathie; mother, Gail Duhon and companion George Jones; son, Robert Duhon and wife Misti; grandson, Robert Duhon, Jr.; step granddaughter, Evelyn Minter; sister, Linda Stewart and husband Charles; niece, Rebecca House and husband Daniel; nephew, Jeffery Kam; step nieces, Chole Stewart and Kristal Blye; step nephews, Jesse Stewart and Tara and Parker Stewart and Andi; uncle, Glen Labry; aunt, Quin Wolters; cousins, Mark Alhman, Tammy Normand, Phylis Nazworth, Ronnie Labry, Phillip Labry, and Troy Carpenter; along with numerous other loving family and friends.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Stonewood Hospice for the excellent care provided to Lennard, especially his nurse, Heather and caregiver, Kenajia.

I wish I could find the right words to say to Gail and Linda. Gail, I'm sorry you lost your son and Linda you lost your brother. No mother or sister should go through such grievance. Leonard was also ready to help when someone needed it. I hate that he had to deal with the pain of cancer. He and I were really close for many years, but lost touch after we both got married. May his family and kids find peace in knowing he is no longer in pain. Praying for them all.
