Kerry Leigh Corbell

Kerry Leigh Gearhart Corbell, 71, of Orange, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2026, in Beaumont, Texas. She was born on January 14, 1955, in Orange, Texas, to John Preston Young, Sr. and Mary Annie Perry Young, both of whom preceded her in death.

Kerry shared 29 wonderful years with her beloved husband, James Allen Corbell. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, family, fishing, four-wheeler adventures, and countless cherished memories. Allen was not only her husband, but her best friend and partner through 29 years of life together.

Kerry was a dedicated and hardworking woman who spent more than 20 years working as a manager for CVS, beginning her career when the company was still known as Eckerd’s.

Kerry was a proud graduate of Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School, Class of 1973. She was a huge LCM Bears fan and loved attending as many games and school events as possible. She was also a passionate Houston Texans fan and enjoyed cheering on her favorite team.

Kerry will be remembered for her contagious laugh, beautiful dimples, warm heart, and the joy she brought to the people around her. She had a way of making people feel welcome and loved, and she created memories that will remain with her family and friends forever. She was deeply loved by all who knew her.

Kerry is survived by her beloved husband, James Allen Corbell; her daughters, Kristy Monceaux and her husband, Jerald, and April Marler; her grandchildren, Mason and Marcus Monceaux and Mitchell and Toby Russell; and her great-grandson, Silas Russell. She is also survived by her brother, John Preston Young, Jr., and sister-in-law, Dana Renee Young; her nephew, Blake Young and his wife, Cassie; and her niece, Ashley Fong and her husband, Jeremy. She also leaves behind Allen’s children, Corie Corbell and his wife, Melissa Corbell, and Nick Corbell and his wife, Tammy Corbell, all of whom held a special place in her heart.

She also leaves behind numerous cousins and dear friends who loved her dearly and whose lives were made brighter by knowing her.

Cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange, Texas.
