Ellie Lynn Bean departed this life on July 25, 2026, in Beaumont, Texas. Born on January 20, 1953, Ellie lived a life marked by a truly unique spirit and a deep love for his family.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, August 8, 2026, at LaBrie Claybar Funeral Services in Beaumont. Officiating will be Reverend Jacob Smith and Reverend Matt Cherry. Burial will follow at King Cemetery in Hartburg, Texas.
Visitation will begin prior to the service at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 8, 2026, at LaBrie Claybar Funeral Services in Beaumont.
Ellie was a former dedicated employee of Goodwill Industries, where he worked as a truck driver’s helper.He took great pride in his work and was known for his reliability and commitment. He possessed a gentle spirit, a sweet disposition, and a wonderful sense of humor that brought smiles to everyone who knew him. Ellie was truly one of a kind. His family loved him deeply, embracing every quirk and celebrating the unique person he was. He cherished his family above all else and found his greatest joy in spending time together, especially during the holidays. In his free time, Ellie enjoyed watching classic westerns, cheering on the Dallas Cowboys, and watching a variety of sports. These simple pleasures brought him happiness and were a reflection of the things he loved most. His loving heart, infectious smile, and unforgettable personality will be treasured forever by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.This isn’t goodbye, it’s see you soon.
Ellie was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Arnold and Marjorie Bean, his brothers: Arnold Bean, Archie Bean, Walter Bean, and Alton Bean; and his sisters: Renola Bean, Avie Cain, and Mary Lois Bean.
Ellie is survived by his brother, Egbert Bean of Hartburg, sisters, Linnie Stewart and her husband Frank, of Beaumont, Janie Carl, Dova Bean, Margaret Watkins and her husband, Donny, and Mildred Monger and her husband Wade, all of Vidor. Ellie is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and cherished friends, including his extended family from Stewart's Halfway House, where he resided for more than 45 years.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to everyone at Stewart’s for their exceptional care, and friendship shown to Ellie through the years. Stewart’s was his home and you were his family. We will always be grateful for the love and respect you’ve shown him.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jonathan Ligono, Daniel Watkins, Andrew Richard, Wayne Richard, Jason Richard, and Robert Richard. Honorary pallbearers are Nathan Monger and Trent Cooper.
